The District sells compost bins as a service to its members and to promote backyard composting of kitchen scraps. We try to have an inventory year-round. Bins are available at our offices in North Hartland (Directions) generally during business hours, but as we are a small staff who are often out of the office, you may want to call ahead to be sure someone is here to assist you. This subsidized program is available to District residents and businesses at $41 and out of District residents at $51.

Soil Saver Composter:

The Soil Saver
$41 or $51

Dimensions: 33"H x 33" x 34"
Capacity: 10 cubic feet or 80 gallons
Weight: 30 lbs.
Composition: UV resistant recycled polyethylene

The Soil Saver Composter is an easy way to convert common yard and food waste into an effective fertilizer, a process that saves valuable landfill space. It has natural insulating properties due to its structural foam construction, a feature that also makes it resistant to weather and UV rays. Its large capacity means that it can serve a household of up to five people. In addition, the locking lid helps to keep pesky animals out of the compost.

We also sell kitchen collectors!
$10
