Compost Bins
The District sells compost bins as a service to its members and to promote backyard composting of kitchen scraps. We try to have an inventory year-round. Bins are available at our offices in North Hartland (Directions) generally during business hours, but as we are a small staff who are often out of the office, you may want to call ahead to be sure someone is here to assist you. This subsidized program is only available to District residents and businesses.
The Earth Machine

Ease of Transportation. It will fit into any automobile for ease of transportation and comes packaged in two halves (no corrugated packaging) which nest inside of each other.
Access and Interior. Easy access through the large lid opening, easy turning and aerating, no ridges or corners for materials to stick in, design allows for easy batching and good quality compost.
