2010 Compost Bin Presale
The GUVSWD will be preselling compost bins, counter top collectors, and rain barrels this year - we will not have any in stock at our office or events. The 2010 Compost Bin Preorder Form is here for download as a PDF file. Orders are due by March 26, 2010 and bins will be available after April 23rd at our office.

Landfill Proposals
The Greater Upper Valley Solid Waste Management District is currently reviewing Proposals For the Construction and Operation of the North Hartland Landfill. A financial advisor has been retained and we expect the board to decide on the best course of action this spring.

Electronics Recycling news!
Two news items on electronics recycling: Sony has teamed up with our electronics recycler to offer free recycling for all Sony brand televisions. Bring your Sony TV to our office or special events for free recycling! New Hampshire has updated their landfill ban on electronics to add VCR's, DVD players, and computer CPU's to the ban. Most of the trash from GUVSWD towns currently goes to Lebanon, NH so we need to keep these items out of the trash. We recycle all items with a cord, for a fee, at our office and recycling events.
